Once root mode is activated it is possible to change the boot animation of your phone (with the cool retro animation below for example).
To install them you need Root Explorer from the market.
- Download the bootanimation.zip file (see below for the correct version) to your SD card and start Root Explorer.
- Move the file to the following folder using root explorer (make sure that you have opened the folder with r/w permission!): /system/media
- Long press on the file for the menu and choose the option 'Permissions'
- Set the permission so that all groups at least have read permission (just to be sure I gave all groups all permissions but this should not be necessary)
Restart your phone and enjoy the retro boot animation
